meh, Laws be damed. With DARPA's data mining project (formerly TIPS > Total Information Awareness) there is not much left in the way of protection of privacy anyway (and zero oversight).
As for Second Life, Well sadly it seems to have some stiff system requirements that apparently my 1yr old laptop does not meet - soooo much lag!
